Bergen County volunteering opportunities
At Bergen County CASA, our volunteer child advocates are the heart and soul of our non profit organization based in Northern New Jersey. We offer child advocate volunteer opportunities for qualified, responsible, adults.
Our foster children and Advocates come from towns throughout Bergen County such as Hackensack, Fort Lee, Garfield, Lodi, Mahwah and beyond.
If you are considering joining Bergen County CASA, you can volunteer as a child Advocate for the organization and support our mission to help foster children. Email info@BergenCasa.org or click on the button below to start learning about becoming a volunteer Child Advocate.

While Bergen CASA is focused upon volunteer Advocacy, we also rely upon volunteers to fundraise and coordinate.
Bergen CASA is an independent 501c3 and is required to comply with NJ CASA, National CASA and AOC standards. The volunteers on our Board of Trustees focus upon our compliance with the mandates from our affiliated organizations as well as fundraising.
Our fundraising committee plans two major events each year: a Gala CASINO event and a Golf outing.
Bergen CASA holds a backpack/supply drive in the summer for all our foster children as well as children who are under the Division of Child Protection and Permanency’s (DCP&P’s) ‘Care and Supervision*’ for back-to-school.
Bergen CASA conducts a summer camp drive in the Spring to raise funds for enrichment activities over the summer months. This includes camps and sports and classes, (such as swim, dance and art).
In the Fall we collect holiday gifts, again for foster children and those under the Care and Supervision of DCP&P.
*Care and Supervision’ is when families have an open case in family court, but the children are still safe to remain in their homes.
