A volunteer Board of Trustees with varied skill sets directs and leads the mission of CASA for Children of Bergen County. In addition, our Advisory Committee provides additional skills and expertise.

Board President
Zonie LeSane
President
Zonie LeSane has served as President of the Board of Bergen County CASA for eight years, providing sustained leadership and governance in support of the organization’s mission to advocate for children in foster care. During her tenure, she helped guide the organization through significant periods of transition while working to strengthen Board leadership, broaden community engagement, and foster a diverse and inclusive governing body.
A lifelong Bergen County resident, Zonie has devoted much of her professional and civic life to public service and community advocacy. Her experience spans county government, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, business development, and public administration. She is a certified paralegal and a graduate of Rutgers University’s Certified Public Manager program.
Beyond CASA, Zonie has served in leadership and advisory capacities with numerous community and nonprofit organizations throughout New Jersey. Her work has consistently centered on building relationships, strengthening organizations, and connecting people and resources to meaningful community initiatives.
As she concludes her tenure as Board President, Zonie leaves Bergen County CASA after eight years of leadership with a deep commitment to the organization’s continued strength and, most importantly, to the children and families at the heart of its mission.

Suzanne Ordas Curry
Chairperson
Suzanne Ordas Curry is the current Advisory Committee Chair, which boasts a roster of ten members with a wide range of experiences. In 2011 she joined CASA as a committee member and was president for four years. Suzanne owns a public relations firm and also produces films, many with social impact. From executive producer to producer of marketing and distribution, she is attached to award-winning and Emmy- nominated films and series with talents including Jamie Lee Curtis, Christina Hendricks, Alysia Reiner, Anna Gunn, and more. In addition to CASA, Suzanne serves on other boards including “Artists for Change,” is a juror for two film festivals and lends her expertise to environmental causes.
