Support our Spanish speaking foster children

Spanish speaking volunteer opportunities in NJ

At Bergen County CASA, our volunteer child advocates are the heart and soul of our non profit organization based in Northern New Jersey. We need Spanish speaking volunteers to work with our diverse foster children who come from all the towns in Bergen County including

Hackensack, Fort Lee, Garfield, Lodi, and beyond. We offer child advocate volunteer opportunities for qualified, responsible, bilingual adults.

If you are considering joining Bergen County CASA, and speak Spanish, there are several ways to volunteer as a child advocate for the organization and support our mission of foster child advocacy.

Spanish speaking volunteer opportunities in Bergen County at Bergen CASA

Bergen County has disproportional Spanish speaking children in foster care, then when compared to the percentage of Spanish people in the County.  The same applies for Black children.

Bergen CASA is actively conducting outreach to recruit Spanish fluent advocates.

Our Advocates who do speak Spanish make a huge difference.  It is easier for a teen to trust an Advocates speaking their own mother tongue than an Advocate who only speaks English

Currently we have three Advocates who speak Spanish.  We are looking for a few Spanish speaking Advocates who can more easily gain the trust of their appointed children and their relatives.

If you are Spanish and looking for a volunteer opportunity in NJ look no further and send us your contact information so that we can set up a meeting and information session for you.
