Adolescent Behaviors And Experiences Survey (ABES) is the first nationally representative look at the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health of our nation’s youth.
ABES was a 110-question online survey completed by US high school students. The survey was administered during the spring 2021 academic semester, from January – June, 2021. A total of 7,998 students participated in ABES, representing 128 schools. After processing, valid data were gathered from 7,705 questionnaires.
ABES found that the COVID-19 pandemic affected youth in a number of areas.
