CASA Parties
This is something new we are trying at Bergen County CASA and it’s actually quite simple. You can turn birthday, anniversary, or promotion par ties into a fun chance to raise awareness of CASA. Or maybe you just want to get a group of friends together for no particular reason except to catch up and raise some money for CASA. Just as one person’s CASA volunteer experience may differ greatly from another’s, no two CASA Parties need be the same. Parties can be any shape or size. You can also raise money online without an actual house party. We are leaving the creative aspects up to you. Just keep us informed as your party planning progresses, so we can help you as you need.
Funds raised from CASA Parties will go towards the programming and operational needs of the organization, including volunteer training costs; communications costs; and other costs needed to sustain the agency.
How to Plan a CASA Party:
Who: Invite your friends, family, those interested in the organization or those who've never heard of us. Spread the word to any and all!
What: What type of event do you want to have? Different party ideas range from a cocktail party, to a block party, to a restaurant or bar-based event. Some may be catered affairs with 50 attendees, whereas others may bring together five or six people in someone’s living room or back porch with snacks and drinks. Play around with different themes or formats and be creative! We encourage you to be ambitious, but don’t be shy about hosting a smaller part; every bit helps CASA make huge differences in these children’s lives.
Where: Wherever you want—keep your type of event and guests in mind!
When: Whenever works best for you!
Why: Who doesn’t like to have a party, but seriously these parties can help increase public awareness and raise funds for advocacy on behalf of abused and neglected children. Every abused and neglected child in our community deserves a safe, permanent home.
Thank you for getting on board and helping support this important campaign!
